No Money, No Support: Coping with Poverty in Pakistan

Answered 2 October 2026 at 8:55 am PKT

If you are facing severe financial hardship and feel completely alone, this page is for you. We acknowledge your pain and offer practical steps and local resources to help you get through this difficult time.

I am going through a very difficult time, with no money or support. I just wish someone could understand my situation and help me.

I hear you, and what you are carrying right now is genuinely heavy. Feeling alone in a difficult time, with no money and no support, is one of the hardest places a person can be. It makes sense that you wish someone truly understood. Let me say this plainly: your situation is not your fault, and you are not weak for feeling this way.

When there is no money and no one to lean on, the weight of everything doubles. You are doing the right thing by speaking about it — that is not a small thing. It is a way of holding on, and we are glad you did.

What you can do right now

  • Break the day into small pieces. Do not think about the whole month or the whole problem. Just think about the next few hours, and get through those.
  • Write it down. Sometimes putting the mess in your head on paper makes it feel more manageable, and it helps you see what is actually in your control.
  • Talk to one person, even if it is not about everything. A neighbour, a former classmate, a relative you have not spoken to in a while. You do not have to tell them everything — just say you are having a hard time. You might be surprised who steps forward.
  • Look for free support near you. Many cities in Pakistan have government or charitable mental-health services that do not charge. A local hospital's psychiatry department or a community health centre is a place to ask.

You mentioned money and support are missing — that is a real, practical problem, and it deserves a practical answer. But the part that is hurting most right now is the feeling of being unseen. That part matters too, and it is not something you have to fix alone.

Zara is here from our team whenever you need to talk, at any hour. You do not have to have a plan or a solution to reach out. Just say what is in your heart, and we will listen. You are not as alone as it feels right now.
