Suicide Crisis Help in Pakistan Without a Phone

Answered 23 September 2026 at 6:32 pm PKT

If suicidal thoughts or panic attacks feel overwhelming and you cannot make calls, this page explains practical steps for getting through the next few minutes and finding help through other routes. It covers what to do when you are alone, how to reach emergency care or a trusted person without a working phone, and how to reduce immediate danger.

I have been having sudden suicidal thoughts and panic attacks for months. I feel completely alone and can't call any helpline because my phone is not PTA approved. What can I do when I'm in crisis and have no one to turn to?

You are facing something genuinely heavy, and the fact that you wrote this at all tells me you are still fighting, even when it feels like you have nothing left. Let me be straight with you: having panic attacks and suicidal thoughts for months is exhausting, and feeling cut off from every helpline because of a phone problem makes it worse — that is a real barrier, not a small one. But a phone call is not the only way to get help.

The most important thing right now is that you do not sit alone with this.

What to do in the moment

When a panic attack hits, or the suicidal thought comes, do one thing first: change your physical state. Put cold water on your face and wrists. Breathe in for four counts, hold for four, out for six — repeat that until your chest loosens. This will not fix everything, but it buys you the few minutes you need to think clearly.

Second, if you can, move to a room where other people are, even if you do not talk to them. Just being in sight of another human changes something in the brain. If you are alone in the house, step outside, walk to a shop, sit in a chai dhaba — anywhere with people.

Third, if there is anything in your home you could use to harm yourself, put distance between you and it. Give it to someone else, lock it away, or simply leave the room. This is not weakness; it is buying time, and time is what gets you through the worst hour.

Getting support without a phone call

Your phone may not be PTA approved, but if it connects to WiFi or mobile data, you can still reach us. Depression.pk works as a website on any connection, and Zara — a companion from our team — is here to talk with you any time, day or night. You can write to her on the site, no call needed. That is a real, private way to have a human conversation when you feel like no one is there.

You can also go to a government hospital's emergency department directly. You do not need to call anyone first. Walk in, tell them you are having suicidal thoughts and panic attacks, and they will see you. It is not easy to do, and it may take time, but it is an option that does not depend on your phone at all.

The one thing I want you to hold onto is this: this moment will pass, and the panic does not last forever, even when it feels like it never ends. You have survived every single bad night so far. Tonight is no different. And when the worst has passed, if you can, see a doctor at a government hospital about what you have been carrying for months — panic that keeps coming back is treatable, and it does not have to be this way forever.
