When People You Trust Do Not Support You

Answered 15 September 2026 at 9:43 pm PKT

Reaching out for help can feel frightening, especially when someone you trust dismisses, ignores, judges, or shares what you told them. This page explains how to respond, protect your privacy, and find safer support in Pakistan.

I reached out to people I trusted, only

I can only see the beginning of your message, but it sounds as if you trusted people and were hurt by what happened next. Being ignored, dismissed, or made to feel like a burden after asking for help can cut very deeply — and it does not mean you were wrong to ask.

For now, do one small thing: tell one safer person exactly what you need, such as, “I don’t need advice; I just need you to listen for ten minutes.” If nobody feels safe to talk to right now, stay here and keep your message going; you do not have to make it neat or complete.

What came after “only,” and how long have you been feeling this way? You can carry on with us here, one line at a time.

Names and cities shown here are examples. Every question is published anonymously — we never ask for, store or show the name, city or contact details of the person who wrote it.

Still on your mind?

You don't have to work this out from an article. We're free, private, and here right now — in English, Urdu or Roman Urdu. No signup, no waiting, no judgement.
