Work with us
Apply for work
For registered professionals — psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, doctors
and psychiatric nurses. We check your registration with the council before approving anybody, and
you always set your own rate.
How this works, before you apply
What this is
- We do not charge the people who come to us anything — not for the groups, the questions, the courses or the helplines. That is the whole purpose of this platform and it stays free.
- It is a charity project, not a commercial one. Nobody who comes to us for help is ever asked for money, and nobody ever will be.
What we ask of you
- Professionals help in our WhatsApp groups and community — basic questions, answered honestly.
- No active selling in the groups.
- There is no restriction of hours. A few messages and a few replies to problems is genuinely enough.
- That is our only condition.
What you get
- Anyone who wants paid or regular sessions books them with you directly.
- You are paid directly by the patient, in advance.
- Your fee is yours to set and we never change it. Nothing is deducted and nothing is held by us - the patient pays you in full and directly.
- For a session we introduced, 10% of the fee comes back to us afterwards, towards the video rooms, the booking system and the running costs. You send it on after the session; it is never deducted or held. Nothing is owed on patients who did not come through us, and the people who come to us are never charged for anything.
- You can offer free introduction sessions if you want to - half an hour, for somebody to meet you and decide. They are optional, there is nothing to send on for them, and a free session is an introduction rather than treatment.
- The professionals who help with day-to-day queries are the ones we refer paid sessions to.
What you can do
- Answer day-to-day questions in the groups, in Urdu, Roman Urdu or English — whatever the person wrote in.
- Say plainly when something needs a doctor, a diagnosis or medication rather than a group.
- Take anyone who wants paid or regular sessions into your own practice, on your own terms and your own fee.
- Tell people you are a psychologist or psychiatrist, and what you work with. That is why you are here.
- Step back whenever you need to. There is no rota and nobody is counting.
What you cannot do
- No selling in the groups — no services, no price lists, no links to your own booking page.
- No naming medicines or doses. People act on what they read here and only their own doctor knows what is safe for them.
- No diagnosing anybody in the group. You have not examined them and the whole room is reading.
- No private messaging a member who has not asked you to. If somebody wants you, they will say so.
- No screenshots and nothing repeated outside. What is said in there stays in there.
- No arguing about religion or politics, and no judging anybody for what they are carrying.
Who comes to us
- People join our groups. Some get what they need and leave. Some want face-to-face meetings.
- We get all sorts.
The groups
- They are a safe place for people to share problems without being judged.
- Chit Chat is the group where they can talk about anything.
- Staff/Admin is where all the professionals are.
Before you apply, read our risk and crisis protocol — what happens when a person here is at risk, what we ask of you, and what we do not provide. It names plainly that we do not supervise clinical practice or carry your indemnity.
What you send is read only by the people assessing applications, never
published. Ask hello@depression.pk and we will delete it, including the CV,
any time.
