How to Handle False Accusations and Depression in Pakistan

Answered 4 October 2026 at 6:30 am PKT

Dealing with false accusations while struggling with depression can feel overwhelming. Here's how to navigate this situation while taking care of your mental health.

Started boxing to heal, now falsely accused and stuck

I took up boxing to manage my depression and suicidal thoughts, but a juice server lied about me to my coach. The coach now believes I'm after benefits and calls me unreliable, and I can't defend myself without hurting others. I feel lost, heavy-hearted, and trapped, and I'm also struggling with strange physical symptoms and painful emotions when I see old family photos.

That is a genuinely hard place to be. You went to boxing to get some control back, to fight the depression and the suicidal thoughts, and instead you got caught in a lie that made you feel powerless again. The coach believed someone else, and now you cannot even defend yourself without worrying you will make things worse. That is a painful, heavy feeling – and it makes sense that you feel lost.

What to do about the club situation

You have already tried to explain, but the coach keeps going back and forth. That is exhausting. Do one thing: stop trying to convince him. You told him your side, and he chose to ignore parts of it. That is on him, not on you. If the environment has turned nasty and the earning does not feel clean anymore, then you have every right to walk away. Your mental health matters more than proving yourself to someone who will not listen. If you want to stay, keep your head down and train for yourself – do not get pulled into defending your character again. The fees issue is separate: send a short written message (text or note) saying clearly that you want to pay for two months together. That way there is no miscommunication and no need for a tense face-to-face talk.

The strange physical feelings you are having

The change in taste, smell, and the open-eye dreaming – this is not normal. It could be severe stress, dissociation, or something physical like a vitamin imbalance or even a neurological issue. Please see a doctor as soon as you can. Do not wait for it to pass. Tell them exactly what you told me: three nights, taste changed, smells different, feels like dreaming while awake. That needs a check-up, not just rest. In the meantime, try to stay grounded: drink water, eat something simple, and if you feel disconnected, touch something cold or name what you see around you.

The emotions that come with old photos

Seeing your dad or sister or your own old picture and feeling that rush – that is not weakness. It is your mind recognising pain that was never fully processed. When that happens, do not fight it. Sit with it for a moment, then do one small thing to bring yourself back: make a cup of chai, step outside, or write one sentence about how you feel right now. You do not have to act on the cruelty you feel inside. That feeling is a signal, not a command.

You are carrying a lot – the club, the money, the memories, the strange symptoms. Take it one piece at a time. First, get the physical symptoms checked. Then decide what you need from the club, and if it is not there, give yourself permission to leave. Zara is here if you need to talk more.
