Suicidal Tonight? Where to Turn for Crisis Help Now

Answered 12 October 2026 at 2:00 pm PKT

If you are thinking about ending your life tonight, please know that these thoughts can feel overwhelming but help is available right now. This page lists immediate steps, Pakistan's 24/7 crisis helplines, and a simple safety plan to get you through the night.

I want to end my life tonight. I don't know how to stop these thoughts or where to turn.

It is a frightening thing to be at this point tonight, and I am glad you wrote instead of being alone with it. Please stay with me here for a few minutes before doing anything. You are in terrible pain, and that pain is the one speaking right now, not you. We can take this slowly.

The one thing that matters most tonight is that you do not act on this thought. Even if you don't believe it, put some distance between yourself and anything you could use to hurt yourself — moving to another room is a step. If there is a person near you, even someone you would not normally turn to, go and sit with them. If there is no one, stay here and keep writing to me.

These thoughts are not a sign of weakness, and they are not a verdict on your life. They are a sign that you have been carrying too much for too long. Many people have been exactly where you are and found, sometimes even an hour later, that the wish to end their life shifted. That is not a trick; it is what happens when a human being is exhausted and desperate.

Zara is here from our team, and you can talk to her any time if you prefer. But you are also with me right now, and I am not going anywhere for this moment. Tell me what has brought you to tonight. I am listening.
