How to Handle Student Burnout While Working a Job in Pakistan

Answered 24 September 2026 at 8:46 pm PKT

Feeling exhausted from juggling studies and a job is a common struggle in Pakistan. This page offers practical ways to manage stress and fatigue without quitting everything.

I'm a student working a job too, and right now I'm at work feeling so tired and sick of life. I can't even take a rest because I'm in the office, and my eyes and head are hurting from lack of sleep. I don't know how to handle this exhaustion anymore.

You’re carrying too much at once, and severe sleep loss can make life feel unbearable while also causing head and eye pain. You don’t have to solve everything right now—just get through the next few minutes safely.

If you might hurt yourself, tell a trusted colleague or supervisor immediately and ask them to stay with you and help you get urgent medical care. Otherwise, say: “I haven’t slept and I have a severe headache; I need to sit somewhere quiet for a few minutes and drink water.” Look away from the screen, lower the brightness, and breathe slowly.

If the headache is sudden or the worst you’ve had, or you feel faint, confused, have chest pain, or vision changes, get urgent medical help through someone at work. Reply with just “safe” or “not safe.”
